Why Dads love golf more than Moms... the uncomfortable truth!

Golf is a popular sport that is enjoyed by people of all ages and backgrounds, including dads. The shocking stats show that 71.6% of golfers are men, so why are there so many more dads playing golf than moms? In this blog, we'll explore a few of the reasons why dads love to play golf. If moms had more time, would more moms play?

Let's first explore why dads love golf.

  1. It's a Way to Get Outdoors

Many dads enjoy golf because it's a way to get outside and enjoy the fresh air and sunshine. Golf courses are often located in beautiful, scenic areas, which can make for a relaxing and enjoyable day on the links.

  1. It's a Challenge

Golf is a challenging sport that requires skill and strategy. Many dads enjoy the challenge of trying to improve their game and beat their personal best. The mental aspect of golf, such as concentration and focus, can also be appealing to some dads.

  1. It's a Social Activity

Golf is often played with friends, family, or colleagues, which can make it a social activity. Many dads enjoy spending time with others on the golf course, whether it's for a friendly game or a business outing. Golf can also provide a way for dads to network and connect with others.

  1. It's a Relaxing Escape

Golf can be a relaxing escape from the stresses of everyday life. Many dads enjoy the peace and quiet of the golf course, which can provide a much-needed break from work and family responsibilities.

  1. It's a Lifelong Hobby

Golf is a sport that can be played for a lifetime, which can make it an appealing hobby for dads. Whether they started playing as a child or took the game up in later life, it is fun game for all ages.

So, there are lots of reasons to love golf but this blog has not addressed the other issue why so few moms are playing golf. Do moms enjoy getting outside, do they relish a challenge, do they want to connect with friends?

I am sure lots of moms who have read any of the above, but will be thinking "I just don't have the time!". Or maybe, they are thinking there are better ways of spending four hours of the day.

We would love to hear from any moms who find enough time to raise a child and play golf, and likewise, to hear from any dads who are actively encouraging their wife to keep playing whilst you spend quality time with the kids.
